Important Registration Notice

With the nbn™ network being fully built and operational** and the approaching completion of mass disconnection from the legacy copper network, nbn will be closing the Fire and Lift register on Friday 25th February 2022.

If an emergency lift phone or monitored alarm panel that you are managing is currently connected to the legacy copper network, you will need to organise the migration of the existing equipment to an alternative technology.

Please contact your equipment provider and phone and internet provider to initiate the migration or for further information. 

Getting Started

To complete your registration you will need:

  • The complete address of the premises
  • The name and contact details of the person responsible for the monitored fire alarm and lift emergency phone service in each premises
  • The phone numbers for each monitored fire alarm and lift emergency phone

If you are having trouble finding the phone numbers,  you could check your most recent bill, or call your telecommunications service provider for the information.

Privacy Collection Notice

nbn is collecting your personal information to process your fire alarm or lift phone registration. Because you are a holder of fire alarm or lift phone, we collect and use information about you which is “sensitive information” under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). This information is required to be collected so that we can migrate you to the nbn™ access network as effectively as possible. If you choose not to provide us with certain information, we may not be able to successfully register your fire alarm or lift phone.
